Manchester United Women suffered a major setback in the race for Champions League qualification after being held to a goalless draw by Tottenham Hotspur Women.
Tottenham were the better side for much of the game, dominating possession and creating numerous chances, but were unable to find a breakthrough despite registering over 20 attempts on goal. Phallon Tullis-Joyce produced several key saves to keep United in the match.
Ella Toone made her long-awaited return from injury, coming off the bench in the second half, but could not inspire a winner as United struggled for form, managing just one win in eight games.
The result leaves United trailing second-placed Chelsea by four points with only two matches remaining, while Tottenham end a losing run and keep their hopes of a strong finish alive.
