Coventry City marked their title-winning season with an entertaining 3-1 victory over Wrexham, a result that dented the visitors’ hopes of securing a Championship play-off place.
The celebrations were already in full swing at the Coventry Building Society Arena after sealing the title days earlier, and Brandon Thomas-Asante added to the party by opening the scoring with his 13th league goal of the season. Wrexham responded quickly, however, as Ollie Rathbone fired home a powerful equaliser just minutes later.
Wrexham, pushing to secure a top-six finish, had chances to take the lead, but were punished late on. Victor Torp restored Coventry’s advantage with a superb free-kick, before Ephron Mason-Clark wrapped up the win deep into stoppage time.
The victory extends Coventry’s unbeaten run and caps off a memorable campaign as champions, while Wrexham remain in sixth place but face a tense final match as they fight to secure a play-off spot.
