Jack Draper has pulled out of the Madrid Open and will also miss the Italian Open due to a knee tendon injury.
The 24-year-old has been struggling with injuries and had to retire from his only clay match this season in Barcelona. This comes after a long spell out with bone bruising that kept him off the tour for months.
Draper said the injury is frustrating but not too serious, and he is hopeful of being fit in time for the French Open.
Missing Madrid and Rome means he will lose important ranking points and could drop outside the top 70, affecting his seeding for upcoming tournaments.
Despite the setback, Draper remains positive and is working towards making a strong return later in the season.
