British heavyweight Moses Itauma will fight for the vacant IBF heavyweight world title when he faces Croatia's Filip Hrgovic at London's O2 Arena on August 29.
Promoter Frank Warren confirmed to BBC Sport that the IBF belt, vacated by Oleksandr Usyk in June, will be on the line.
The 21-year-old Itauma has emerged as one of boxing's brightest heavyweight prospects, boasting 14 wins from 14 professional fights, including 12 by knockout. Victory over Hrgovic would make him the youngest heavyweight world champion since Mike Tyson.
"Moses has taken the boxing world by storm," Warren said. "This is a huge moment in his career, but I'm confident he can get the job done."
Itauma was initially ordered to negotiate with Cuba's Frank Sanchez for the vacant title, but Sanchez agreed to step aside after reaching an agreement to challenge the winner.
Itauma heads into the bout following an impressive fifth-round stoppage of American Jermaine Franklin in March, while Hrgovic, a 2016 Olympic bronze medallist, improved his professional record to 20 wins with a third-round knockout of Britain's Dave Allen in May.
"We know Hrgovic will give everything," Warren added. "At his best, he's a difficult fight for anyone."
