Things got worse for Leeds before halftime when Gabriel Gudmundsson was sent off after receiving a second yellow card for a foul on Ismaila Sarr. Referee Tom Bramall showed the red card after a short delay.
Despite having 10 men in the second half, Leeds managed to hold on. Palace pushed for a goal, with Jean-Philippe Matetagoing close, but Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow made an important save.
Palace thought they had scored late on when Jefferson Lerma put the ball in the net, but the goal was ruled out for offside involving Brennan Johnson.
The draw leaves Leeds three points above the relegation zone, while Palace remain 14th in the Premier League.
