Nottingham Forest have named Vitor Pereira as their new head coach on an 18-month deal, making him the club’s fourth manager this season. The 57-year-old Portuguese replaces Sean Dyche, who was sacked after a goalless draw with bottom club Wolves.
Forest are 17th in the Premier League, just three points above the relegation zone. Pereira’s first game in charge is against his former club Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday, followed by a Premier League clash with Liverpool on 22 February.
Pereira returns to England after being dismissed by Wolves in November. He previously worked under Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis at Olympiacos, winning the league and Greek Cup in 2014-15. His coaching team includes Filipe Almeida and Luis Moreira.
