Lake admits letting themselves and fans down at home

0

Wales captain Dewi Lake admitted that his team let themselves and fans down after their heavy 48-7 Six Nations loss to England.

Lake was one of four Welsh players shown yellow cards as England dominated, scoring seven tries. Former Wales fly-half Dan Biggar also criticised the first-half display, calling it “nowhere near good enough for international rugby” as Wales fell 29-0 behind.

Lake said: “We let ourselves down and let the people at home down. We talked all week about what we wanted to do, and we didn’t deliver. There’s no point just talking—we’re massively disappointed with our performance.”
