Tomas Magnusson scored in the 88th minute to give Heart of Midlothian a dramatic win over Hibs in the Edinburgh derby, extending their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to six points.
The derby was tight and nervy, with both sides creating chances but failing to convert. Hearts’ Islam Chesnokov and Hibs’ Martin Boyle both missed key opportunities in the first half.
Magnusson’s late strike put Hearts back on track after last week’s loss to St Mirren and keeps them ahead of second-placed Rangers, who play Motherwell next, and third-placed Celtic, who host Livingston on Wednesday.
