England have called up 20-year-old uncapped prop Vilikesa “Billy” Sela to their Six Nations squad to cover injuries at tighthead, while Exeter’s Greg Fisilau earns a place in the back row after strong club form.
Other newcomers include Gloucester’s Arthur Clarke, back from injury, and Northampton’s uncapped loosehead prop Emmanuel Iyogun. Experienced players like Henry Arundell, Elliot Daly, and George Furbank also make the squad, while Leicester’s Adam Radwan misses out due to a leg injury.
There are injury concerns over a few key players, including Ollie Lawrence, Tom Roebuck, Ben Curry, Fin Smith, and Fin Baxter, who will recover in the run-up to England’s opening game against Wales on 7 February. Sela will compete with Trevor Davison to cover Joe Heyes in the scrum.
Head coach Steve Borthwick, whose side is on an 11-match winning streak, said the squad balances experience, leadership, and exciting potential. England will play Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Italy, and France in this year’s Six Nations, aiming to improve on last year’s second-place finish.
