Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George has been suspended for 25 games after violating the NBA’s anti-drug rules. The 35-year-old, a nine-time All-Star, said he mistakenly took the wrong medication while seeking treatment for a personal issue.
George apologised to the 76ers, his teammates, and the fans, taking full responsibility for the mistake. He will be suspended without pay and won’t be eligible to play again until the 25 March game against the Chicago Bulls, with only 10 regular-season games left after that.
