Noni Madueke impressed as Arsenal beat Leeds United to move seven points clear at the top of the Premier League. The win was Arsenal’s first league victory in four matches.
Madueke was a late replacement for Bukayo Saka, who picked up a hip injury in the warm-up, but he made the most of his chance. He set up Martin Zubimendi for the opening goal and then delivered a corner that led to Arsenal’s second, with Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow accidentally punching the ball into his own net.
Viktor Gyokeres made it 3-0 after finishing a cross from Gabriel Martinelli, before substitute Gabriel Jesus added a late fourth goal. The result puts pressure on title rivals Manchester City and Aston Villa.
