Sacked Wolves boss Bruno Lage: I didn't need expensive players, but the right ones

Sacked Wolves boss Bruno Lage says he'll take his time before returning to management.

Lage said, at the Web Summit, in Lisbon, that he lacked "time and the right players" to continue in the projects of Wolves, from which he was recently fired, and Benfica.

"My experience at Benfica and Wolves tells me that the next step has to be the right project," he said.

"A big lesson I learned was that I need to convince people of what I need and that things don't just come naturally. I had good ideas for Benfica and Wolves, but I didn't have time, nor the right players to continue.
