Uncapped Gabriel Hamer-Webb will make his Wales debut in Saturday’s Six Nations clash against Scotland in Cardiff.
Head coach Steve Tandy has made four changes after the heavy defeat to France, recalling Sam Costelow at fly-half and handing starts to Ben Carter and Taine Plumtree. Aaron Wainwright also switches position to number eight.
Several players, including Ellis Mee and Dan Edwards, drop out of the squad, while Freddie Thomas, James Bothamand Blair Murray are named on the bench for the first time in this year’s tournament.
Wales have conceded 102 points in losses to England and France so far, and Tandy says the changes bring “freshness” ahead of facing Scotland.
