World champion Luke Littler has reached the semi-finals of the Premier League Darts night in Glasgow after Michael van Gerwen withdrew because of a medical issue.
Van Gerwen, who was due to face Littler in the quarter-finals, has been in strong form — winning the opening night and finishing runner-up in the second event to top the table. He also beat Littler in Antwerp last week before losing to Gerwyn Price in the final.
Because of the withdrawal, Littler automatically advances, earning two points and a one-leg boost to his leg difference. Van Gerwen’s leg difference will drop by six.
