Liverpool have issued more than 400 lifetime bans after police seized over £1.2 million in assets linked to illegal ticket touting.
Working alongside Merseyside Police, the club targeted organised ticket touts involved in the illegal resale of match tickets and the laundering of criminal proceeds. The operation resulted in 432 lifetime bans and 115 indefinite suspensions.
Detective Chief Inspector Nick Suffield praised the joint effort, describing it as a major step in protecting genuine supporters from ticket fraud.
Liverpool have intensified their fight against ticket touting in recent years. Last season, the club reviewed nearly 700,000 ticket registrations, blocking or cancelling 67,663 suspected fake accounts while placing another 121,379 under investigation.
The club also cancelled 3,847 tickets due to suspicious purchasing activity during the 2025/26 season, making them available again for legitimate supporters. In addition, security checks at Anfield and away matches were significantly increased, with an average of 300 targeted ticket inspections carried out at every home game.
