Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has been appointed as the new head coach of Saudi Pro League champions Al-Nassr.

The Riyadh-based club, captained by Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, secured the Saudi Pro League title in May and have now turned to Postecoglou to lead the team into the new season.

Al-Nassr parted ways with veteran Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus at the end of the previous campaign, paving the way for the 60-year-old Australian to take charge.

Postecoglou has been out of management since he was dismissed by Nottingham Forest last October after a brief 39-day spell in charge.

The Greece-born coach has signed a two-year contract with Al-Nassr.

He enjoyed a successful stint at Tottenham, guiding the North London club to UEFA Europa League glory in 2025. Before that, he won back-to-back Scottish Premiership titles during an impressive spell with Celtic.

Since leaving Forest, Postecoglou has been working as a television pundit for ITV during the FIFA World Cup.
