Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has declared herself ready for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), stepping up preparations ahead of Nigeria’s official training camp in Morocco.
Ajibade captained the Super Falcons to a record-extending 10th WAFCON title in Morocco last year and was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. At the 2024 edition, staged in July 2025, the Paris Saint-Germain F.C. Women star also claimed three Player of the Match awards.
The 25-year-old is expected to lead Nigeria’s bid for another continental crown and has been maintaining her fitness with private training sessions in Mallorca, Spain, alongside PSG teammate Jennifer Echegini and AS Roma Womenforward Rinsola Babajide.
With the Super Falcons set to open camp in Morocco on July 15, Ajibade shared images from her off-season workouts, signalling her determination ahead of the tournament.
“Off season, on purpose. Mallorca with Nike and 292 Performance. Ready for WAFCON 2026 for God’s glory,” Ajibade wrote on X.
