Trabzonspor have reportedly placed a €35 million valuation on Nigerian defender Chibuike Nwaiwu.
Nwaiwu has impressed since joining the Turkish Super Lig club from Austrian side Wolfsberger AC in January. The 22-year-old quickly established himself as a key figure in defence, while also contributing three goals and one assist in 16 league appearances.
The centre-back was also part of the Trabzonspor side that won the Turkish Cup after defeating Konyaspor in the final.
Premier League club Fulham are said to be interested in signing the defender, but Trabzonspor are determined to command a substantial fee before considering any sale. Turkish outlet Taka Gazete reports that the club will only entertain offers close to their €35 million asking price.
In anticipation of a possible departure, Trabzonspor have already identified Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh, a young Gambian defender currently playing for Tromsø IL, as a potential replacement for Nwaiwu.
