Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan has expressed confidence that goalkeeper Andre Onana will remain at the Turkish club on a permanent basis following his loan spell from Manchester United.
The Cameroon international spent the 2025-26 season on loan with the Super Lig side and returned to Old Trafford upon the expiration of his temporary deal. However, Trabzonspor are now working to secure his services on a permanent transfer.
Speaking to Ajansspor, Dogan revealed that discussions with the player have progressed positively and that the club has met his financial expectations.
"I think Andre Onana will stay with the team. We have met his financial demands," Dogan said.
"The fans like him too, and he is a decent bloke. I don't think we will have any problems.
"I don't think he will find the same level of interest anywhere else, so I think he will stay with the team."
Should the move materialise, it would bring an end to Onana's spell at Manchester United, where he has faced an uncertain future amid continued speculation over his long-term role at the club.
Liverpool Confirm First Professional Deal for Prince Cisse
In a separate development, Liverpool have confirmed that Prince Cisse, the son of former Reds striker Djibril Cisse, has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The 17-year-old has been part of Liverpool's academy setup since the pre-Academy stage and continues to make steady progress through the youth ranks.
Prince enjoyed a memorable start to the 2025-26 campaign, scoring on his debut for Rob Page's Under-21 side and earning praise for his performances.
Interestingly, the youngster has undergone a positional transformation in recent years. Having started his development as an attacking player, he has successfully transitioned into a central defensive role and is now primarily deployed as a centre-back.
