Manchester City F.C. make move for life after Pep Guardiola with replacement deal agreed

Manchester City F.C. have reportedly reached an agreement with Enzo Maresca as a potential successor to current manager Pep Guardiola.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano’s colleague, Nicolo Schira, disclosed that Maresca has agreed in principle to a contract running until 2028, with an option to extend it by a further year until 2029.

Writing on X over the weekend, Schira claimed that “it is now up to Guardiola to decide what to do, as Maresca is waiting.”

Manchester City are said to have identified Maresca as their preferred replacement should Guardiola depart the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season.

Guardiola, who previously managed FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich, has one year remaining on his current contract and continues to be linked with a possible exit from the Premier League champions.
