Former Arsenal F.C. defender Bacary Sagna has advised Gabriel Martinelli to consider leaving the club if the Gunners finally win a major title.
Sagna believes Martinelli could seek a new challenge elsewhere after achieving success with Arsenal, amid growing competition for places in Mikel Arteta’s squad.
The Brazilian winger has been a key player for Arsenal in recent seasons, helping the North London side remain competitive in both the Premier League and Europe.
However, Sagna suggested that winning a major trophy could represent the perfect moment for Martinelli to move on and begin a new chapter in his career.
“Sometimes when you win something big, it becomes the right time to look for a different challenge,” Sagna reportedly said while discussing Martinelli’s future.
Martinelli remains under contract at Arsenal and continues to be an important part of Arteta’s long-term plans at the Emirates Stadium.
