Global music stars Madonna, Shakira and K-pop sensation BTS are set to headline the first-ever halftime show at a FIFA World Cup final.
FIFA confirmed that the historic entertainment spectacle will take place during the 2026 World Cup final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The halftime show is expected to follow a Super Bowl-style format, combining music and football on one of the world’s biggest sporting stages.
The show is being curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and will support FIFA’s Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative aimed at raising funds to improve access to education and football opportunities for children worldwide.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, will also be the first edition to feature 48 teams.
