FIFA president Gianni Infantino has promised that the 2026 FIFA World Cup will deliver an unforgettable experience for football fans across the globe.
Speaking about the tournament, Infantino said the expanded competition — which will be hosted jointly by the United States, Canada and Mexico — would set new standards in entertainment, atmosphere and global unity.
The 2026 edition will be the first World Cup to feature 48 teams, increasing the number of matches and giving more nations the chance to compete on football’s biggest stage.
Infantino expressed confidence that the host nations possess the infrastructure, passion and organisational strength needed to stage a memorable tournament that will unite millions of fans worldwide.
