Bruno Fernandes equalled the Premier League single-season assist record as Manchester United beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 at Old Trafford.
Fernandes registered his 20th league assist of the 2025-26 campaign when his cross was converted by Bryan Mbeumo, drawing level with the record jointly held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
United’s other goals came from Luke Shaw and Matheus Cunha, while Forest replied through Morato and Morgan Gibbs-White. The result secured third place for United and confirmed their return to the Champions League under interim boss Michael Carrick.
Fernandes now has one final league game against Brighton & Hove Albion to try to break the all-time Premier League assist mark outright.
