Union Berlin have slammed sexist abuse aimed at coach Marie-Louise Eta, calling it embarrassing and unacceptable.
Eta made history as the first woman to manage a men’s team in a top European league, but has faced online attacks since her appointment. The club insists they fully trust her ability and stand firmly behind her.
Despite the criticism, Union Berlin say Eta is experienced, understands the team well, and is the right person for the job.
