Catalans Dragons head coach Joel Tomkins has left the club for personal reasons after nine months in charge.
The 39-year-old took over in June last year after Steve McNamara left and later signed a contract until the end of the 2027 season.
Coaches Ryan Sheridan, Michael McIlorum, and Mitchell Pearce have been leading the team in recent games and will continue in temporary charge.
Tomkins said he has “learned a great deal, both personally and professionally” and is grateful for his time at the club, but explained that being away from his family has been difficult. After spending recent time at home for personal reasons, he decided to end his contract.
Tomkins, brother of former Man of Steel Sam Tomkins, played rugby league and union for clubs including Wigan Warriors, Saracens, and Catalans Dragons, where he finished his playing career in 2021.
Catalans have won four of their Super League games this season and were knocked out of the Challenge Cup by St Helens in the quarter-finals last week.
