New Zealand all-rounder Suzie Bates will retire from international cricket after the Women’s T20 World Cup, bringing an end to her 20-year career.
The 38-year-old, who plays for the White Ferns, will feature in the tournament in England before stepping away from the international stage.
Bates is one of the top players in women’s cricket, holding the record as the leading run-scorer in T20 internationals, while also taking wickets and contributing in the field.
She said she is proud of her long career and hopes to finish by helping New Zealand win another World Cup.
