Manchester United boss Marc Skinner is hopeful that Ella Toone will return in time for Sunday’s Women’s Super League (WSL) match against Tottenham.
Toone has been out since December with a hip injury, missing key matches for both Manchester United and England, including Champions League and international fixtures.
Skinner confirmed she will train on Friday and could be involved against Spurs, calling her possible return “fantastic” for the team’s season run-in.
United are fighting for a place in next season’s Champions League play-offs, with three league games remaining, including a tough final-day trip to Chelsea.
