British UFC fighter Louie Sutherland has stepped in on just over a week’s notice to face Tai Tuivasa at UFC Perth on 2 May.
Sutherland is flying from the UK to Australia after fighting at UFC London last month, where he suffered the first knockout loss of his career and is now looking to bounce back from back-to-back defeats.
He replaces Sean Sharaf, who withdrew due to injury, saving Tuivasa’s homecoming fight in Perth.
Tuivasa, meanwhile, is also under pressure, going into the bout on a run of six straight UFC losses, despite holding an overall record of 14 wins and 9 defeats.
Both fighters are known for knockout power, with Sutherland having eight KO wins and Tuivasa 13 knockouts in his career, setting up a high-risk, explosive heavyweight clash.
