Harry Maguire has signed a new one-year deal with Manchester United, taking a pay cut to stay at Old Trafford, with an option for another year.
The 33-year-old defender joined from Leicester City in 2019 for a world-record £80m fee and has made 266 appearances, winning the League Cup and FA Cup. Despite ups and downs—including losing the captaincy and nearly moving to West Ham—Maguire has enjoyed a revival under interim boss Michael Carrick, starting all 10 matches since January.
He says staying at United is an honour, while director Jason Wilcox praised his leadership, experience, and professionalism.
