Derby striker Patrick Agyemang will miss the World Cup after suffering a serious Achilles injury.
The 25-year-old hurt his left ankle during Derby County’s win over Stoke City, leaving the pitch on a stretcher. Derby confirmed there’s no set timeline for his recovery, but he will be out for the USA’s home World Cup this summer, co-hosted with Canada and Mexico.
Agyemang has had a breakthrough season, scoring 10 goals in 37 games for Derby in his first Championship season after moving from MLS side Charlotte FC. He also scored six goals in 13 appearances for the US national team since his January 2025 debut.
