Former Australia batter David Warner has been charged with drink-driving in Sydney after failing a breath test.
Police in New South Wales said the 39-year-old was stopped during a random check in Maroubra, in east Sydney, where he returned a positive result. He was then taken to a police station, where a second test showed his blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.
Authorities said his reading fell into the mid-range offence category. David Warner is due to appear in court on 7 May.
The former Australia batter, who retired from international cricket in 2024, is currently playing as captain of Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League, with their next match scheduled soon.
