Lyon came from behind to beat Wolfsburg and set up a Women’s Champions League semi-final against Arsenal.
After losing 1-0 in the first leg in Germany, Lyon got an early equaliser from Lily Yohannes in the second leg to level the aggregate. The match went to extra time, where Melchie Dumornay, Damaris Egurrola, and Tabitha Chawinga scored to secure a 4-0 win on the night and a 4-1 aggregate victory.
Wolfsburg struggled to create chances in the first half, and Lyon goalkeeper Christiane Endler remained mostly untested. Lyon dominated throughout, and despite a disallowed goal from Marie-Antoinette Katoto, Dumornay, Egurrola, and Chawinga ensured the French side advanced.
Arsenal will host the first leg of the semi-final on 25 or 26 April, with the return in France a week later. In the other semi-final, Bayern Munich face Barcelona after Barca thrashed Real Madrid 6-0 to win 12-2 on aggregate.
