Tottenham Hotspur have written to Professional Game Match Officials Limited chief Howard Webb to complain about what they believe are inconsistent refereeing decisions.
Spurs are unhappy about incidents where goals have been allowed or ruled out because of contact inside the penalty area. They feel similar situations have been judged differently this season.
One example is Randal Kolo Muani’s disallowed goal against Arsenal, when referee Peter Bankes decided there was a push on Gabriel Magalhaes.
But Spurs were confused when a goal for Fulham was allowed to stand after what they believe was a similar push by Raul Jimenez on Radu Dragusin.
The club reportedly included other examples in their letter, arguing that decisions involving contact in the box have not been applied consistently.
