The England Lions squad and staff have safely returned to the UK after the rest of their limited-overs series against Pakistan Shaheens in the United Arab Emirates was cancelled due to missile attacks in the region.
The development side, coached by Andrew Flintoff, had been playing in Abu Dhabi when rising tensions in the Middle East led to the second 50-over match being called off.
The England and Wales Cricket Board confirmed the group flew home on Tuesday and arrived safely. The Pakistan Cricket Board said the decision to end the series was made jointly, with player safety the top priority.
England had already won the T20 series 3-0 and were 1-0 up in the 50-over matches before the cancellation.
