Rangers Move three Points off the Top after Narrow Win at St Mirren

0

Rangers moved within three points of Heart of Midlothian at the top of the Scottish Premiership after a narrow win over St Mirren.

Tuur Rommens scored his first goal for Rangers in the 31st minute, finishing a great cross from Nico Raskin.

Rangers had several chances to score more goals but couldn’t take them. However, they defended well and held on to secure an important three points.

After results elsewhere, including Celtic beating Motherwell and Hearts losing to Kilmarnock, the race for the title has become very close again with eight matches left.

St Mirren, currently led by caretaker manager Craig McLeish after Stephen Robinson left for Aberdeen, remain near the relegation play-off spot.
