Max Verstappen will fulfil a long-time ambition by competing in the Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race in May.
The four-time Formula One world champion will drive a Mercedes-AMG GT on the famous Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit in Germany. Verstappen said racing at the Nürburgring has been on his “bucket list” for a long time because the track is unlike any other.
It is rare for an active F1 driver—especially one of Verstappen’s status with Red Bull Racing—to compete in another motorsport event. The race will take place on 16–17 May, between the Miami Grand Prix and the Canadian Grand Prix.
