Britain’s Sky Brown has won her second world skateboarding title, claiming gold in a rain-hit park event in São Paulo, Brazil.
The 17-year-old led the standings with a score of 88.16 when organisers cancelled the final run due to rain. Japan’s Mizuho Hasegawa took silver (84.36), and American Minna Stess earned bronze (83.90).
Brown, who became Great Britain’s first skateboarding world champion at 14 in Sharjah, UAE, said it was “huge” to win again on International Women’s Day, even if the final couldn’t be completed. She also holds the record as Britain’s youngest Olympic medalist, winning park bronze at the Tokyo 2020 Games at just 13.
