Lionel Messi is just one goal away from 900 career goals after scoring for Inter Miami CF against D.C. United.
The Argentina star, 38, scored Miami’s second goal with a neat finish in the first half. Since joining the club in 2023, Messi has scored 80 goals for Inter Miami.
He previously scored 672 goals for FC Barcelona, 32 for Paris Saint-Germain F.C., and 115 for Argentina national football team.
Messi could reach the 900-goal milestone when Inter Miami face Nashville SC on 11 March. If he does, he will join rival Cristiano Ronaldo, who reached the mark in 2024.
