England superfan Andy Milne is selling his house to fund a trip to the World Cup this summer. The 62-year-old, who went viral during the 2022 tournament in Qatar, has followed England for years and has attended nine World Cups in total.
Milne, a retired teacher living in Thailand, has put his £350,000 home in Northwich up for sale to help cover the high costs of traveling to the tournament in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. He plans to spend about seven weeks there and already has tickets for matches all the way to the final.
Despite rising ticket and travel prices, Milne says he will try to save money by staying with friends and couch surfing. For him, the experience of supporting England at the World Cup is worth the sacrifice.
