Republic of Ireland midfielder Sammie Szmodics was taken to a Czech hospital after a serious collision with defender Stephan Chaloupek left him unconscious during the match.
Szmodics, who had just come on as a substitute, later regained consciousness and is being monitored by doctors, with hopes he will return to Ireland soon.
The game ended in disappointment for the Republic of Ireland, who lost on penalties after the Czech Republic equalised late to force extra time.
