Alisson Becker will miss Liverpool’s first-leg Champions League match against Galatasaray due to a minor injury, but could return for Sunday’s Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur F.C..
The 33-year-old Brazilian picked up the injury in training before Liverpool flew to Turkey. Manager Arne Slot said Alisson felt some discomfort, and after consulting medical staff, it was decided he would not travel.
With Alisson out, Giorgi Mamardashvili is set to start in goal, making his first appearance for Liverpool since January. Italian forward Federico Chiesa also missed the trip due to illness.
