Mark Williams knocked out of the Welsh Open after losing to Barry Hawkins.
Home favourite and two-time champion Williams went out in the last 16 despite taking a 2-1 lead and making a top break of 115. A costly mistake in the fifth frame allowed Hawkins to take control, and the Englishman sealed the win with a break of 84.
With Jak Jones and Jackson Page also eliminated, there is no Welsh player left in the tournament this year. Williams said it was a close match decided by small moments and a bit of bad luck.
