Tudor Agrees to Take Over as Tottenham’s Temporary Manager

0

Igor Tudor has agreed to take charge of Tottenham Hotspur as temporary head coach until the end of the season after Thomas Frank was sacked.

Spurs are currently five points above the relegation zone and wanted a short-term manager in place before players returned to training.

Tudor has been without a job since being dismissed by Juventus in October 2025 after eight games without a win, which left the team eighth in Serie A.

The 47-year-old has previously managed clubs including Lazio, Marseille, Galatasaray and Udinese. His only trophy as a manager came with Hajduk Split, where he won the Croatian Cup in 2013.

As a player, Tudor spent nine years at Juventus, winning Serie A twice and finishing runner-up in the 2003 UEFA Champions League final. He also represented Croatia at the 1998 FIFA World Cup, where they finished third.

Other short-term options considered by Spurs included Edin Terzic and Marco Rose.

Tudor could still land the job permanently if he performs well, although former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino — whose deal with the United States men's national soccer team ends after this summer’s World Cup — and Roberto De Zerbi are also possible long-term options.
