Real Madrid are waiting to find out how serious Jude Bellingham’s hamstring injury is after he was forced off just 10 minutes into the 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano. The 22-year-old England midfielder was in tears as he was replaced by Brahim Diaz.
England face friendlies against Uruguay on 27 March and Japan on 31 March before World Cup squad selections in May. Real manager Alvaro Arbeloa said he didn’t know the full extent of the injury, but confirmed Bellingham was hurt and further tests are needed. Arbeloa added that it’s a big loss but praised the strength of his squad.
