Ronnie O'Sullivan will make his debut at the World Seniors Snooker Championship at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield in May.
The 50-year-old is hoping to win a record eighth World Championship before the seniors event begins on 6 May. New rules now allow players aged 45 or over who are in the world’s top 64 to compete. O’Sullivan is currently ranked 11th.
Four-time seniors champion Jimmy White will also play, along with Ken Doherty, Stuart Bingham, Reanne Evans, and Joe Perry.
