Benfica manager José Mourinho says Real Madrid will be “wounded and dangerous” after their shock 4-2 defeat to his team in last month’s Champions League match. The dramatic win, capped by goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin’s 98th-minute header, dropped Madrid from third to ninth in their group, forcing them into the play-offs.
Mourinho warned that despite being hurt, the 15-time Champions League winners remain a serious threat. Benfica, third in Portugal’s Primeira Liga, host the first leg at Estadio da Luz on Tuesday. Mourinho stressed that nothing is decided after the first game and expects a very demanding tie.
