Aberdeen came from a chaotic Scottish Cup tie to beat Motherwell and set up a quarter-final away to Dunfermline Athletic, in a match that saw three red cards.
Motherwell were reduced to ten just three minutes in when Oscar Priestman fouled Lyall Cameron, allowing Kevin Nisbet to score from the free-kick. Dennis Geiger’s red for a dangerous tackle evened the numbers, but Liam Gordonwas sent off shortly after the restart for denying a goalscoring chance.
Aberdeen sealed the win when Graeme Shinnie curled a fine finish from the edge of the box.
