When Trent Alexander-Arnold came off the bench in Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Valencia, fans were excited to see him back.
The former Liverpool right-back has struggled for game time since joining Real in June 2025, making just 17 appearances in all competitions. Two injuries have interrupted his season and stopped him from building momentum or a strong connection with supporters.
His relationship with manager Xabi Alonso also ended when Alonso was sacked after less than eight months in charge.
Now fully fit again, Alexander-Arnold returns at a crucial stage of the season, with a big chance to prove himself and secure his future at Real Madrid.
