Jonny Clayton claimed victory on night three of the Premier League Darts in Glasgow, beating Gian van Veen 6-2 in the final.
The Welshman, back in the tournament after two years away, had an outstanding night. He first ended a long losing streak against Gerwyn Price, then crushed world number one Luke Littler 6-1 in the semi-finals.
Clayton averaged over 100 in the final and sealed the win with a brilliant 156 checkout. The victory sends him top of the early standings, ahead of Michael van Gerwen, who missed the night through illness.
Afterwards, Clayton said he is enjoying his darts and believes his experience in the competition can help him reach finals night again.
